Strelitzia nicolai has palm like leaves that fan from the base of the plant The leaves are 1.5 metres or more in length on very long stalks. It intermittently bears large beak like, white and pale blue flowers in boat shaped, dark purple bracts. It grows to a height of 8 metres and has a spread of approx. 5 metres. This plant creates a great tropical feel.
